At the opening ceremony, Qingdao was awarded the title of "Capital of Chinese Beer". A four-month authoritative assessment revealed the brand value of the Qingdao International Beer Festival is 36.8 billion yuan ($5.67 billion). This is the first time that the Qingdao International Beer Festival has been evaluated by a domestic authority, which will further enhance the standardization of the industry and promote the high-quality development of the festival economy.
