In China, August 19 is reserved to celebrate Medical Workers' Day. It is also a reminder for society to respect them and their work. This year marks the fifth Medical Workers' Day.
According to health authorities, activities will be held on this day to promote the noble spirit intrinsic to the medical profession, foster a sound social environment that respects medical workers, and accelerate implementation of the Healthy China initiative.
