2022 marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Armenia. In order to enhance the friendship between China and Armenia, Qingdao, China and Yerevan, the capital of Armenia, established sister-city relationship " Sister cities cooperation for a shared future "the Qingdao-Yerevan Sister Cities Video Conference was held online in Qingdao and Yerevan.
Sergey Manassarian, Armenian Ambassador to China said that the friendship between China and Asia has a long history. Armenia attaches great importance to its relations with China. It is expected that after the two cities are established sister city relationship, will continue to expand and deepen cooperation and enhance the friendship between us.
Fan Yong, Chinese Ambassador to Armenia, congratulated the two cities on the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Armenia. He expressed that it is of great significance to seek future cooperation between two countries in trade and culture
So far, Qingdao's international sister cities have expanded to 85 cities in 47 countries.
