Sister-city Flash News|Sailing boats dot the Qingdao Fushan Bay on the 18th Maritime Day of China

The 2022 Maritime Day of China(Qingdao)International Middle School Students Elite Sailing Game and Qingdao Youth Sailing Game kicked off on July 11 the 18th Maritime Day of China.Sailing boats dotting the Fushan Bay epitomize the charm and vigor of Qingdao as a maritime city and an enchanting city.

The International Middle School Students Elite Sailing Game is the Shandong province’s only youth sailing silver medal event certified by the Chinese Yachting Association as well as the only youth sailing event in the Asia Pacific Region certified by the American Sailing Association(ASA); The Qingdao Youth Sailing Series is knows as China’s largest-scale youth sailing event.

Commemorative activities themed “Maritime Day of China” were held simultaneously to trace Qingdao’s history of navigation and propagate navigation culture.Qingdao boasts Ma Guishan who is committed to disseminating maritime civilization, and founded Qingdao’s first navigation-themed museum, Wang Bingjiao who has guarded the Tuandao Beacon for over four decades of years, the brave dreamer Xu Jingkui who is the worlds first single-armed navigator to sail around China seas as well as the deep sea explorer Yang Yifan who steered the “Jiaolong” submarine to dive into the deep sea.
