On September 7, 2022, the "Welcome Mid-Autumn, Discuss Cooperation" Qingdao Meets Regensburg Sister City Promotion Seminar was successfully held online. Zhu Yiling from the Information Office of Qingdao Municipal Government, Wang Hua, President of the Regensburg Association for Germany-China Friendship and Cultural Exchange, Dominik Eisert, Vice President of the Association, and Bao Jianguo, Business Director of China Book Trading Corporation affiliated to China International Publishing Group, attended the seminar.
At the seminar, a promotional video on the traditional Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival was played, and Zhu Yiling from the Information Office of Qingdao Municipal Government introduced the customs of Mid-Autumn Festival and extended greetings. She sincerely appreciated the great contribution of the association to promote cultural exchanges between China and Germany and contacts between Qingdao and Regensburg. She hopes to take this seminar as an opportunity to expand cooperation and exchanges between the two cities.
President Wang expressed her heartfelt thanks for choosing the association as the host of the Qingdao City Promotion Convention and the establishment of the Nishan Book House as well as the gift of books, and they are willing to promote more comprehensive cooperation and exchange between the two cities. Vice President Eisert said that the inauguration ceremony of Nishan Book House, book donation and the Qingdao City Promotion Convention were creative and effective, which were recognized by all walks of life in Regensburg, and he hoped that both sides would continue to plan and carry out more similar activities in the future.
The two sides reached a consensus on strengthening the promotion of Qingdao-Regensburg Sister City, developing deeper cooperation and institutionalizing regular working communication. In the next step, the two sides will actively organize an exhibition about Chinese traditional culture and Qingdao's intangible cultural heritage products.
