Greetings From the People of Tuc to the People of Qingdao

Oct 31, 2022Byiqingdao

On behalf of all the peoples of TUC, all Councilors and all the Staff of Teinainano Urban Council (TUC), allow me to convey a very sincere and cordial greetings to the Mayor, all Councilors and all peoples of Qingdao. ‘KAM NA BANE NI MAURI”

We welcome and adore the city friendship cooperation between Qingdao and TUC that has recently been established and we are indeed very grateful to have received the four cabbage trucks donated from Qingdao and received early this year. The four trucks are now assisting in the collection of rubbish and waste on a regular basis on South Tarawa. These have assisted in providing a cleaner and a more healthier environment to the people of TUC. THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

From the video clips and videos we have watched, I can say that Qingdao has developed in a more advanced phase far far greater than TUC and we from TUC will like to learn from the peoples of Qingdao. Qingdao is a well planned city with flowers and trees along the streets and in all corners of the city areas. It is very clean, well developed and well organized. There is a lot to learn from how Qingdao has developed in the last few years and we certainly look forward to visiting Qingdao in the near future. I have a strong belief that from these visits or exchange of visits, we can learn more from each other and be able to identify areas of mutual benefits to enhance future cooperation between our two cities.  Face to face discussions and knowing the people better can develop a closer friendship that is based on more personal relationship for the benefits of our respective peoples.

I wish to bestow the Kiribati blessing to the peoples of Qingdao, “TE MAURI, TE RAOI AO TE TABOMOA” meaning “GOOD HEALTH, PEACE AND PROSPERITY”

GOD BLESS QINGDAO AND TUC
