At 00:15 local time on February 12 (05:15 Beijing Time), the five members of the Jimo Blue Sky Rescue Team, who were sent to Turkey for humanitarian relief operations, arrived in Malatya, the epicenter of the earthquake in Turkey.
According to the latest news from the front, after communicating with the staff of the Malatya Emergency Management Bureau, the members of the Jimo Blue Sky Rescue Team immediately rushed to the scene to carry out rescue work.
Dong Gang, the captain of the Jimo Blue Sky Rescue Team, introduced that their rescue target is a building in the local area, which has completely collapsed after the earthquake. According to local residents, there is a paralyzed elderly person trapped inside the building who has not come out. "Due to the building's dilapidated condition, it collapsed quite thoroughly. We assessed and searched the site overnight, determined the location of the bedroom, and formulated a rescue plan. We plan to use methods such as removal, demolition, and shoring to locate the elderly person as soon as possible."
