Jul 08, 2023Byiqingdao

On July 8, the Global Gen Zer Dialogue with Shandong, co-sponsored by the Information Office of Shandong Provincial Government and China Daily, was held in Jinan.

"Gen Zer" refers to the youngster born from 1995 to 2009. The "Gen Zer" from all over the world yearns for Shandong: To visit Daming Lake in Jinan, to see the sea in Qingdao, to visit the Confucius Temple in Qufu, to climb Mount Tai in Tai'an... Shandong's natural scenery and cultural history have a strong attraction for them.

Yulia from Russia is a global communicator at Tsinghua University, and she is fascinated by the exquisite and ancient kite making techniques in Weifang. "Weifang is the birthplace of kites, and this traditional skill is still passed down to the present, creating new kites with distinctive characteristics of the times. The fusion of tradition and modernity has made me feel the charm of cultural heritage."

Shalif, an MBA graduate from the University of International Business and Economics from Egypt, said about his first visit to Shandong: "What surprised me the most was Shandong's smart agriculture. I saw in the fields and greenhouses that precise agricultural machinery can complete various tasks, and Egypt should learn from Shandong to develop smart agriculture. "

Speaking of Shandong, what makes you left the deepest impression? This question made the "Gen Zer" present answer. Young people from Japan, Thailand, Kazakhstan, and Taiwan have praised Shandong's spirit of craftsmanship, the integration of ancient craftsmanship and modern technology, the harmonious coexistence of Confucian culture, and the smart agriculture of rural revitalization.
