From July 18th to 21st, the social practice and cultural experience activity hosted by Shandong University of Science and Technology was successfully held. Seven international students from Algeria, Togo, Laos, Yemen, Zambia and other countries went to Xi’an and Yan’an together with seven Chinese student representatives. Through the four-day experience, they gained a deep understanding of the CPC and China in the new era, and deeply realized the splendid and long history and culture of the Chinese nation, the evolution of the times and the contemporary inheritance.
The Chinese and foreign students had an in-depth exchange of feelings on the first 2 days of the visit, and each student expressed his or her own views and feelings. The international students said that it was a trip to touch Chinese civilization, read the CPC, unlock the code of China’s development, and deepen the exchange and mutual understanding of civilizations.
After that, the students felt and understood the unique charm of the Terracotta Army in the Emperor Qinshihuang’s Mausoleum Site Museum. Standing in the underground for two thousand years, the Terracotta Army of the Qin Dynasty were a shock to every student.
To read and understand today’s China and the CPC, one must first read and understand the history of the Party. In this activity, Chinese and foreign students actively participated and gained a deeper knowledge and understanding of the history of the Chinese nation and the history of the CPC and enhanced their identification with Chinese culture.
