“Future Lies with the Youth” —— Trip of CSULB Delegation from Long Beach, U.S. to Qingdao, China was launched on January 8th in Qingdao, E China’s Shandong province. The event, lasts from January 7 to 12, is jointly initiated by Qingdao and its American sister city Long Beach.
Chinese and American students deepened their understanding of each other and enhanced friendship through interesting interactive activities and wonderful performances.
And during the week, the delegation of teachers and students visited Qingdao Beer Museum, Haier Group, Qingdao Port, paper-cutting studios, traditional Chinese medicine hospital and Laoshan Academy to fully experience the local customs, cultural atmosphere of Qingdao, and its modern development.
During the visit, Qingdao and Long Beach also held the 4th "Qingdao-Long Beach Sister City College Student Pen Friend Exchange Project". This project allows students from the two cities to share interesting stories about their lives and studies, as well as the customs and traditions of their respective cities, through online means such as email. Since its launch in 2020, the event has been held for four consecutive sessions, effectively deepening mutual understanding and friendship between Chinese and American youth.
