119 enterprises have signed contracts to operate in the SCO International Green Agricultural Products Expo and Trading Center.
New flagship projects including Joyvio Group's SCO Headquarters attracted; Pakistan National Pavilion for Agricultural Products under planning.
Qingdao Daily / Guanhai News — A Guanhai News reporter learned from the SCO International Green Agricultural Products Expo and Trading Center (hereinafter referred to as 'the Center') that recently, flagship projects such as Joyvio Group's SCO Headquarters and the SCO Shanglin Valley project have successively launched operations there. To date, the Center has signed agreements with 119 enterprises, achieving online transactions of over 200,000 tons of agricultural products like chili peppers, with a transaction volume exceeding 3 billion yuan. Its business network now extends to 15 countries participating in the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) and the Belt and Road Initiative.
Joyvio Group's SCO Headquarters will primarily focus on the import and export of agricultural products such as fruits, aquatic products, and grains with Southeast Asia and SCO countries, as well as the deep processing of agricultural products like fruit pulp. Concurrently, it plans to explore the development of agri-tourism and cultural projects in Jiaozhou City. The SCO Shanglin Valley project plans to build a Chinese herbal medicine cultivation base and a health and wellness base in Jiaozhou, and to carry out primary and deep processing of Chinese medicinal materials. In November this year, the SCO Demonstration Area reached a cooperation with the China Ethnic Trade Promotion Association to jointly build an ethnic food industry ecosystem, conducting research and development, processing, and trade of related foods. This project has also been established in the Center.
"Through these flagship projects, the Center is gradually constructing a 'one core, three centers' business system," said Li Baien, General Manager of the SCO International Green Agricultural Products Expo and Trading Center. "'One core' refers to the processing and trade of spices, represented by chili peppers, and the 'three centers' are the premium imported fruit trading center, the ethnic food trading center, and the flower trading center." In addition, the Center has reached a cooperation intention with relevant departments in Pakistan to establish the Pakistan National Pavilion for Agricultural Products, building a "China-Pakistan Green Channel for Agricultural Products" based on three types of agricultural products: sesame, chili, and white sugar.
