From Qingdao Daily/Guanhai News: According to the Administrative Committee of the Qingdao Jinjialing Financial Agglomeration Area, the "2025 Qingdao Wealth Management Forum," hosted by the Qingdao Municipal People's Government, will take place on December 26 in the Jinjialing Financial District.
Exploring Qingdao's Approach to Supporting Chinese Modernization through Wealth Management
Themed "Wealth Management Facilitating Qingdao's Practice of Chinese Modernization," this year's forum will gather renowned experts, scholars, financial institution leaders, and industry innovators from home and abroad for in-depth dialogues on new paths and paradigms for wealth management under China's strategy to build itself into a financial powerhouse.
The event will feature one main forum and three parallel sub-forums. The main forum will focus on macro-strategies, discussing new paradigms for wealth management and new directions for national financial development at the dawn of the 15th Five-Year Plan. The sub-forums will concentrate on three key areas: "Tech Empowerment and Win-win Integration of Industry and Finance," "Green Finance and ESG Practices," and "Digital Finance Innovation and Commercialization," exploring new wealth management paths driven by technology, green transition, and the digital wave.
Having been successfully held for 10 sessions, the Qingdao Wealth Management Forum adheres to a high-end, professional, and international positioning, making it one of the most influential annual events in China's wealth management sector. The forum has not only captured global attention but also successfully built a bridge for dialogue among government, industry, academia, research institutions, and capital. As a major cradle of wealth management in China, Qingdao has been at the forefront of financial reform and innovation since it was approved as a Wealth Management Financial Reform Pilot Zone in 2014. After 11 years of meticulous cultivation, the city has leveraged wealth management to drive deep-seated financial reforms, gradually building a distinctive and vibrant wealth management ecosystem. This has propelled the leapfrog development of Qingdao's financial industry. In the 38th edition of the Global Financial Centres Index (GFCI 38) released in September 2025, Qingdao ranked 35th globally, marking its 18th consecutive appearance in the top 50.
