On February 28, the 2026 National "Our Festival · Lantern Festival" Themed Cultural Event (Shandong Demonstration Site) was held at Haiyun'an Venue of the Qingdao Radish · Lantern Festival · Tanghulu Fair. Featuring cultural performances, intangible heritage exhibitions, and a New Year bazaar, the event integrated the reunion spirit of Lantern Festival, Qilu cultural heritage, and Qingdao's century-old folk traditions, painting a vibrant picture of the Year of the Horse with warm festivities.

The cultural performance presented exquisite programs including folk dances, traditional music, quyi arts, and Peking Opera. Liu Yipeng, once an internet sensation as the "Radish Girl," shared childhood memories of the fair and extended invitations nationwide. Moral models spread civilized values through lantern riddles and blessings. A tangyuan-making competition featured innovative flavors like Majiagou celery and Jiaozhou Chinese cabbage, while 40+ intangible heritage stalls and 200 bazaar booths showcased local specialties.
This event exemplifies Shandong's commitment to preserving traditional festivals and promoting cultural innovation. By integrating "Our Festival" activities with local heritage brands, Qingdao enriches public cultural life while boosting holiday consumption and tourism, injecting continuous spiritual momentum into building a culturally strong province in the new era.
