Qingdao Daily / Guanhai News — June 17

In June, Qingdao presents its most vibrant scenery—red tiles and green trees, azure sea and clear skies—welcoming distinguished guests from around the world as a major international event unfolds as scheduled.

Riding the momentum of the 7th Qingdao Multinationals Summit, the “Qingdao Gifts” Summit Brand Market officially opened on June 17 at the South Plaza of Haitian Mall, a new urban fashion landmark of the city, and will run through June 19.

This three-day immersive event combining consumption and culture coincides with the Summit, offering global business leaders and visitors a unique window to “meet Qingdao.” Through carefully curated urban products and a vibrant atmosphere, the event vividly showcases the charm and contemporary appeal of the “Qingdao Gift Brand.”

A Showcase of Urban Culture and Quality Products

Rooted in the deep integration of the Summit and Qingdao’s urban development, the event aims to create a “portable urban memory” for international exchanges.

More than 30 enterprises and brands are participating, presenting a wide range of city gifts that are visually appealing, experiential, interactive, and easy to take home—building a one-stop consumption scenario.

Among them are leading Qingdao brands such as Tsingtao Brewery, Wolong Nuts, Langyatai Liquor, and Tianyeshuo fruit and vegetable juice, offering a diverse expression of local flavors—from the aroma of malted beer to modern interpretations of fresh agricultural products.

Traditional enterprises such as Haibin Foods and Chunming Foods are showcased alongside emerging brands like Fengshi Technology and Hubang chili sauce, highlighting a dynamic ecosystem where tradition and innovation coexist.

Living Heritage and Immersive Experiences

As part of Shandong Province’s intangible cultural heritage, the Gao Family Tanghulu (candied hawthorn skewers) presents limited-edition products and live demonstrations, allowing visitors to experience this traditional culinary craft up close and feel the warmth of urban hospitality.

Representing Laoshan tea culture, Wanlijiang Tea also hosts on-site tea brewing sessions, offering a “portable cup of tea” that conveys Qingdao’s mountain-and-sea aesthetics and its spirit of hospitality.

A City Brand with Global Ambitions

Under the theme of “using gifts as a medium and the Summit as a catalyst,” the “Qingdao Gifts” initiative—key project of the Qingdao Municipal Bureau of Commerce—integrates high-quality local resources and builds an online-offline integrated promotion platform.

It establishes a distinctive “must-buy and must-take” urban gift consumption ecosystem, forming a comprehensive city-level branding system.

By showcasing at the Summit, “Qingdao Gifts” helps outstanding local products reach global visibility, supporting Qingdao’s development as an International Consumption Center City.

Looking ahead, the brand will continue to grow with the momentum of the Summit, further strengthening its role as a city-level consumption IP and enabling the world to experience Qingdao through its carefully curated gifts and souvenirs.
