According to a press briefing held by the Information Office of Qingdao Municipal People’s Government, the 2026 China International Consumer Electronics Expo will take place in Qingdao from September 4 to 6. Hosted by the Shandong Provincial People’s Government, it is the only remaining provincial‑ministerial‑level official exhibition in Shandong. Having been successfully held for 22 sessions, this year’s event features the theme “AI Leads, Intelligence Empowers the Future”, focusing on cutting‑edge trends of the global consumer electronics industry.
Covering an exhibition area of 60,000 square meters with six major exhibition zones, the expo gathers around 300 well‑known domestic and foreign enterprises. Supporting activities including industry forums, economic and trade matchmaking, and achievement launches will be held to build a full‑chain industrial cooperation platform. The expo highlights five major features. For the first time, emerging and future industries such as smart health‑care, large‑scale AI models and intelligent computing power are included. Three industrial clusters for smart home, smart health‑care and artificial intelligence are highlighted. The newly‑launched smart health‑care special zone spans over 10,000 square meters, bringing relevant technologies into real‑world scenarios.
Ground‑breaking industrial achievements will be showcased. Leading enterprises and specialized, sophisticated, unique and innovative firms will unveil key new products and technological innovations. Adopting the integrated model of “Exhibition + Conference + Competition + Matchmaking”, the expo strengthens domestic‑foreign trade linkage and transforms itself from a display window into a targeted procurement platform. It presents the complete artificial‑intelligence industrial ecosystem covering computing infrastructure, intelligent terminals and industrial collaboration to boost AI application in real‑economy sectors.
To stimulate consumption, Qingdao has added eight locally‑subsidized product categories such as robotic vacuum cleaners and smart toilets on top of national subsidies for home appliances and digital products. New AI‑powered products from Haier, Hisense, Aucma and other brands will make their debut at the expo. Market‑oriented curation and professional services have been upgraded. Big‑data‑driven supply‑demand matching, AI‑enabled check‑in and robot‑guided tours are deployed to improve exhibition quality and visitor experience.
