2026 CCPC Car Racing Challenge & "Qingdao TT" Auto Culture Carnival Opens at Cangma Mountain

Jun 29, 2026Byiqingdao

On June 27, the 2026 CCPC Car Racing Challenge and "Qingdao TT" Auto Culture Carnival grandly kicked off at the Cangma Mountain International Tourist Resort. As the inaugural event since the announcement of the national Automotive Circulation Consumption Reform Pilot policy, the carnival brought together over 200 classic cars, modified vehicles, and motorcycles for exhibition and performance, accompanied by fleet parades, a music market, parent-child interactive activities, and a public mountain ring race — creating a grand automotive cultural extravaganza that deeply integrates commerce, sports, culture, and tourism.

Recently, Qingdao was officially designated as a National Pilot City for Automotive Circulation Consumption Reform, with a focus on pioneering development in two featured areas: RV camping and classic/vintage cars. Against this significant backdrop, the CCPC — a national-level production car racing event — made its debut in Qingdao and at Cangma Mountain, carrying profound implications. Cangma Mountain is home to nationally leading RV parks and auto-camping facilities, making it a natural testing ground for Qingdao to cultivate a diversified "Auto-Camping Plus" integrated business model. This carnival, which brings together professional automotive racing, trendy car culture, and leisure tourism experiences, serves as a vivid showcase of leveraging Qingdao's mountain and coastal resources to connect mountainous and rural spaces, thereby promoting the deep integration of the RV economy with the cultural tourism industry.

Following the opening ceremony, the Qingdao Municipal Bureau of Commerce convened district-level commerce departments at Cangma Mountain for an on-site promotion meeting on the Automotive Circulation Consumption Reform Pilot work. Centering on the two national pilot directions — RV camping and classic/vintage cars — the meeting guided districts to improve the automotive aftermarket ecosystem based on pilot requirements and local industrial realities, with the goal of comprehensively unlocking internal momentum for automotive consumption.

The carnival will run through June 28, during which a series of exciting activities will be held, including professional driver competitions, classic car displays, automotive cultural interactive events, and camping experiences — allowing car enthusiasts and visitors alike to immerse themselves in the unique charm of "Automobile & Motorcycle + Cultural Tourism" amid lush mountains and clear waters. All citizens and tourists are warmly welcome to participate and enjoy the experience.

Going forward, Qingdao will seize the pilot opportunity to establish three major camping economic belts across the city — mountain, coastal, and rural leisure — driving the transformation of auto-camping from a single business model to cross-sector integration, precisely matching visitors' diverse needs for sea views, adventure, and residential travel. By continuously enriching reform carriers and consumption scenarios, Qingdao will steadily cultivate and strengthen a new automotive consumption ecosystem.
