The future of Qingdao is contained in these projects. The project of today determines the tomorrow of the city. In the early summer, Qingdao is full of flowers and fascinating. On May 16th, the three-day in-site observation meeting of the “Project Initiation Year” kicked off.
With the drizzle flying in the air, the group has been engaged in work and wasted no time in carrying out the observation work. Starting from 8 am all through to 18: 30, the group has spent ten and half an hour observing 13 projects successively in Qing Dao Pilot Free Trade Zone of Shandong Province, the new district in the west coast, Jiaozhou City, Shanghe demonstration area, Licang District.
These projects are characteristic of “ being high, great and advanced”.
“High” refers to the high level of technology. For example, the Qingdao Marine Science and Technology Park project of CEC’s Optical Vally is committed to building an application-oriented demonstration area which transforms marine science and technology into real achievements and a national high-end marine science and technology R & D cluster area; Since the Qingyuan Innovation Center project was completed and put into use in the first quarter of 2021, it has won the second prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award, applied for 186 national invention patents, authorized 71 patents, 110 international invention patents. Up to 486 invention patents have been introduced into other countries (regions).
“Great” refers to the great investment and size. For example, Shanghai Electric Wind Power Equipment Industrial Park project has invented 10 billion yuan here in total and covers an area of 468 acres, with the construction area of 360 thousand square meters; the total investment of Qingdao International Academician Park’s research institute project is up to 12.5 billion yuan and its construction area covers approximately 1.02 million square meters.
“Advanced” means that the project runs at the front and are at a high level. For example, Geely Satellite Internet project has built the first global leo satellite constellation in China and the world’s leading space-ground integration satellite Internet demonstration project. Handle’s global root node project will build the identity resolution and analysis innovation and application headquarters base to build a new industrial demonstration base.
All in full swing, these projects are either promoted with quickened speed or put into production with high effectiveness, which enables people to feel the thriving energy of Qingdao’s industry at zero distance and to harbour great confidence to its future. (By Eden.Xu)
